Marvels of PCCM

I was asked by a friend of mine about if I had to nail down the biggest change in me that I could feel compared with before I started using the PCCM in July 2008, what would it be? I think the answer would be a reduction of the emotions that should have affected me a lot in the past three months.

Part of my daily job involves responding to complaints, queries and referrals from the public and other agencies. For the past couple of months, we have experienced a historical high in demand for our services. The cumulative number of referrals including emergency repair works was more than doubled from the same period last year. This has been a result of inclement weather and a few incidents which have triggered off public panic. The situation has not been made easy with the announcement of the non-renewal of contracts for the majority of our contract staff. We have anticipated that most of them will leave their service before the expiry of their contracts if they could seek employment else where and indeed they have. Looking back it should have been an extremely tough period. Somehow I have managed without undue frustration or pressure during such a stressful period.

In fact I have been feeling relatively relaxed at work while getting the work done.

Personally with my concern for my father's health and the passing away of a dear friend of mine from university days, the preoccupation of my good friend by her sister's critical illness and the unexpected departure of two of my closest colleagues, I should have been more than miserable for these are the people who have been rendering me support and fellowship in the past whenever I was in need. Somehow I have not been affected as much as I should have been. I was so much calmer than I would otherwise be under such circumstances without the use of PCCM.

I believe such are the marvels of the PCCM.
